Spine-chilling crime
An affair gone wrong, resulting in a horrible murder and the arrest of a prominent public personality AND three police personnel (a chief inspector, a woman detective and a corporal with the Special Action Force or SAF, more commonly known as the Unit Tindakan Khas.)
The victim - shot dead and blown to pieces with C4 explosives, commonly used for demolition work. Brutal, nauseating, inhuman.
That this heinous crime is purportedly carried out by members of our police force is what makes it so spine-chillingly frightening. What was the motivation for their involvement in this case? What price for such a sinful act? Can there ever be a justifiable price indeed?
I wonder if he felt the same cold shudder that ran through my bones when I found out the name of the guy who was remanded.
Shocking is an understatement. Now, all we can wait for is the IGP's next course of action.
Our faith in the police force is undergoing tremendous challenges, and this latest incident has shaken us to the core.
Let's pray for the soul of the poor woman. She did not deserve to die in this manner.

The first question to be answered will be: Who issued the explosive to the SAF and for what purpose. Explosives are never issued unless it is war time or for the demolition of rocks or buildings as approved.
The 2nd Q: The SAF officer said he was paid USD30,000 to do the job. What it indicates is that, in Malaysia, professional hired killers are from the police force and army. Will there be a study to know how a killer-agency had surfaced in our police or army?
Remember the arms heist? Our IGP needs to seriously look into a better inventory control system.
Q2 is the really scary part. If what the SAF officer said is true, then contract killing is a mighty cheap business in Malaysia. USD30K divided by 3 means someone would risk committing murder for a mere USD10K or even less.

There will be a few surprises as the saga unfolds with deep implications on UMNO--hence BN- realpolitik, hence our NegaraKu's fate.
The politikus live in interesting times while the poor rakayt acn mainly watch and wait -- if possible -- enjoy some real drama that also has threads into the Sandiwara on the PWTC Stage.
PS: A spinoff is that nowadays, some lawyers are laughing all the way to the bank, and Bloggers have a field day reeporting, and I'm breathless in reading some of the fiction being spun...
Not to mention private investigators too huh, Desi?
Btw, Dr M is in IJN - not exactly the best of news right now. UMNO folks got lots to distract them ahead of their AGM.
