Like my pictures?

I enjoy photography and having a good digital camera has certainly given a boost to my interest in indulging this hobby of mine. At least, I can erase my mistakes without having to spend a small fortune on film negatives & printing costs!

All the pictures you see on this blog are the works of yours truly. I hope you like them as much as I do. I would have liked to share more with you on this blog but I have yet to figure out how to do it. So for the time being, its piecemeal basis. Here's one more for you! It's taken from an apartment balcony in Perth during my recent holiday. (Note the rainbow!)

Yes, their winter season is always wet. That's why I time my trips to co-incide with the Spring or Autumn season. This particular photo was taken during the recent DeepaRaya holiday break, right in the middle of Spring. The wildflowers in full bloom were spectacular, weather is nice and cool and very light drizzling of rain. One thing I like about Perth is their public transport system (esp. the free CAT service) - so very efficient. One thing I don't like about Perth is that there's not much to do after 6pm, if you are not into drinking at pubs.

Free transport not only in Perth.
Adelaide too has a free public bus system in the CBD area.

I guess they can do that as fewer leakages in the system!

I read in the papers that N.S. Menteri Besar is revamping Seremban town's public transport system to ease worsening traffic congestion. I wonder if the ambitious MB studied the efficient public transport systems of foreign countries. Surely if he can make a success of it, Negri Sembilan would be the very first state in Malaysia with an orderly and reliable public transport, beating even "developed-status" Selangor! That would lift the state from its long obscurity under the previous MB, the now infamous Mohd Isa.

I think a free shuttle service would be good to ease traffice congestion in all cities.

You park near the route and get on the bus that will take a 30 to 45 minutes loop. If this service is provided say every 10 to 15 minutes, we can ease some of the traffic congestion in cities.

Then those who want to drive into the city center have to pay extra!

HJ Angus, do you not also wonder why our state govts spend thousands of Ringgit for our councillors to do "lawatan sambil belajar" overseas each year and yet no one ever studied the public transportation system of nearby countries like Singapore and Australia so that we could clear the mess that's clogging our city roads? I guess these privileged people and elected leaders never had to depend on public transport, hence, could not be too bothered with this problem which is of course not their problem, eh? Our govt only knows how to build but they are not very good at planning and implementing a proper and workable system before they build.

alvinyv, I fully understand the adage, "There's no place like HOME", although sometimes I SO wish our govt and stupid racist MPs learn how to appreciate us and our loyalty to this country more. Being still labelled as "kaum pendatang" after 48 years of Merdeka makes my blood boil each time.
